MRT Food Sensitivity Testing & Treatment

Is Your Food Making You Sick?

Research has shown that sensitivities to food and/or food chemicals can play a role in an array of painful symptoms and chronic health conditions. Even foods you may consider "healthy" may be causing an immune response that results in inflammation and other chronic symptoms. Diet-related inflammatory reactions typically come from one of three categories: food allergies, food-induced autoimmune disease, or food sensitivities. Food sensitivities are the most common, affecting 30-40% of the population in some capacity.

Identifying food sensitivities and their relation to these and many other conditions is incredibly difficult as it can take up to FOUR DAYS after ingestion to have symptoms. This is where the MRT test & LEAP treatment plan can help.

The Mediator Release Test® (MRT) is the most accurate and comprehensive blood test available for identifying sensitivities to food and food chemicals (sensitivity of 94.5% and specificity of 91.7%). MRT measures your body’s immune reaction to 170 common foods and chemicals. Unlike other food sensitivity tests, MRT measures all non-IgE (non-allergy) mediated reactions.

Lifestyle, Eating, and Performance (LEAP) refers to the individualized eating plan following the MRT, designed to calm inflammation and allow your body to heal. Together, we will develop an ImmunoCalm Eating Plan based on your test results. The process begins by eating only your least reactive foods for 2 weeks. Once your symptoms and the underlying inflammatory process have subsided (calmed), you will gradually reintroduce other foods back in to determine your tolerance to higher reactive and untested foods.
